Negi said these PDW Engineers were place under suspension on the basis of findings of a probe ordered by him to ascertain the exact the circumstances leading to collapse of the under-construction mini bridge. “We had asked a Chief Engineer to go into the circumstances which led to collapse of the mini bridge and after the report of inquiry came to us, they were placed under suspension on CM Rawat’ directive”, said Negi.
Chief Minister Rawat clarified apart from these three Engineers, two other senior Engineers have been issued show cause notice to explain why action should not be taken against them due to their alleged involvement in the irregularities committed in the construction material.
